I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... when I came to the Lord in 1996, I made a decision to stop beer drinking and I distributed and disposed of any secular rap / ragga music I had. I also reorganised my friendship environment to start spending time with those who will positively impact my life.
It was around 1998 at the time I was buying alot of Contemporary Gospel music that I came across the Stomp Album CD. This album really changed my life in that I could not sleep without listening to it. I liked (and continue to like) great artists like Alvin Slaughter, Commission (including Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp), Ron Kenoly, Dawkins & Dawkins, Maranatha, Don Moen, Sheary Ceaser, John P Kee, Winnas, Donnie Mc and others. However, I found Kirk's music quite unique in the message of hope that it carries to all ages and races especially among the youth.
When I was involved in Youth evangelism in schools & colleges, we used to play such songs as Stomp, Praise Joint, If u'v been delivered, Lean on Me e.t.c.. These songs really made a big impact on the Youth. In our churches, youth meetings and parties Kirk's songs are a darling to many.
As for me, I like Kirk's music coz of it's holistic approach in that it is not only the hip-hop that I like. Songs like "He will take the pain away", "Something about the name of Jesus", "911", "Jesus" (both in Nu Nation & Fight of My Life) have really changed my life. When ever I change jobs, it does not take much time for people to associate me with Kirk Franklin coz my screen savers, music collection and most of my literature is Kirk. There is no Gospel Artist whose all albums I have bought and followed than Kirk Franklin.
The greatest lesson I have learned from Kirk is to move on with the Gospel even when you are low in your life coz the Lord is there to lift you up. Currently I am enjoying "Jesus", "Declaration (This is it)" and "I like me". My the Lord guide u Kirk as u continue to spread the Gospel through ur music.
Since it is not possible to purchase Kirk merchandise on-line in Malawi at the moment, can I be sent address details to send a bank draft there.
In conclusion, I am looking foward to seeing Kirk ministering through his music here in Malawi. The fan base here is quite huge. God bless.

A must album for today's youth
I am being inspired everyday I listen to it.
The music goes down to address struggles affecting both the youth & adults.
