Hey what's up everybody?!!!!! My name is David J. Driskill and I just wanted to know what everyone's favorite song was from the new album "The Fight Of My Life." Then Also put what other song you like. Oh yeah and put why you like the song(s) For example:
My favorite song is "I Like Me." That song is soooooooooooooooo off the hook. Me and my Goddad John Gray was listening to it today and we were clownin'. It's that song that makes you happy and makes you want to dance. Other songs I like are.... Better, Why, Could've Been Me, First Love, Imagine Me, Stomp, Revolution, etc... Just to name a few.
I want to hear from you.

i disagree with what ur sayin about i like me. I think ur interperting it wrong. I feel that its sarcastically sayin do u like me, like I don't care cuz god likes me......if tht makes sense.

I'm another fan of most Kirk songs, although I disagree when it comes to "I like me". I don't understand what's the point of adding the phrase "do you all like me?" in a song which is about liking myself because God likes me. To add "do you all like me?" is like forgetting the fact that God's love is all we need to feel love. Anybody else got a thought on this? I struggle a lot with low self esteem that's why my mind spins on this.
From the latest CD I'm hooked on "Little boy". It sounds like my dad's old group with Kirk on it, so I guess I get emotional over more than the lyrics.
I could never have a favorite song by Kirk Franklin. I love all of them!!!!! Although my favorite albums are The Nu Nation and The Fight of My Life. I like the way Kirk Franklin rights songs from his heart. He also rights them to teach others and I love that! He is no doubt my favorite artist! His songs have helped me through hard times, and times when I need comfort. But it has also helped me just stand up and praise God!!!

It's a very hard question????? so my fave is Still in love still in control, this is it, i'm God, i like me and so much more, and i can't make a real top 5 or top 10 his albums are so great there so more faith, pray, help hand,great choir evrytime i hear this album it makes me thrill and sometimes i weep like a litle child cause the only thing that people need it's that some people take care but in this world most of time it's alone that u re faced to the world.

I AM GOD is my favorite song...dont get me wrong the entire cd is excellent and maybe his best work collectively but track 9 is outside his comfort zone and he did a very good job with this song. Thanks Kirk, I'm a dedicated fan now!! ;0)

I have a question and don't know where else to go for the answer. I hope someone here knows b/c I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. I'm sure you all know the song "Awesome God - He Reigns Medley", well, I know the lyrics to the song itself but what is being said in the rap intro? We're doing a dance drama to it and I need to find out as soon as possible.

It has to be I AM GOD!!!!! the lyrics on the song are honest, real and challenging!!! Every-time i hear that joint it hits me hard! BE STILL and KNOW, that He is God....Wasn't a big Toby Mack supporter b4 this song, but his lyrical content is on POINT!!!!
(Sidenote-its funny though...cuz He says "Kirk is gonna get his White-Boy on..." LOL) The track is sick too!!!!!
God has truly used Kirk's music to transcend color and musical barriers that reach folks from all different experiences and walks of life! What's really hot is that Kirk's music is progressive, so it moves forward with the times we are living in, yet it has it is distinct and represents the Kingdom to the fullest!!

Chains is one of the greatest songs ever recorded!!!! Not just because of the vocal talent on it, but you feel the expression with each vocal manuver of chains that can beset you....and the freedom from it! Chains is one of the greatest songs ever recorded!! (I know, I repeated myself...LOL)

Hide Me- I reallllllllllllllllllllllllllly love this song because I know that I have some growing to do and this song expresses it all.
