Can anybody tell me where I can get a book, magazine or video of Kirk talking about his deliverance from pornographic addiction? I remember an article in Ebony some years back preceding a taping of the Oprah Winfrey show where he came public about his struggles. A friend of mine suggested I write him a letter outling my own struggles to see if he might have some insights as God is grooming (so it humbly appears if it be HIS will) for ministry. I've seen so many evangelical leaders and politicians all of whom have superior intellect yet fall short in this area and destroy the very foundation upon which their career and noteriety are based. I actually cried when I saw the Oprah segment because I knew there was hope for me as God is no respecter of persons. My pastor emeritus used to say all the time that in heaven there will be no titles and that all Christians wear the most important title of all: Childeren of the Most High. So if he did it for Kirk I know he'll do it for me. I just wish he would move sooner than later. I've often heard it said that integtrity is what you do when no one is looking. Well my integrety needs some cleansing and I need DELIVERANCE. Hence, the verbage for my username. Words are powerful I know I must speak things as though they were. If you read this, even if you ca provide info or even a mailing/po box I could send Mr. Franklin a letter, there's a God that sits on high and looks low. And he hears our prayers. Now hears the set-up: Help me help you. What do I mean? Read Psalm 41:1-3 (KJV ro NIV). I am 'poor' (KJV) / weak (NIV) and if you choose to pray for me with regard to what Mr. Franklin has been through and what I'm going through, God is going to tremendously bless you pursuant to vs. 2-3 of that same chapter in Psalms. He may not come (Him blessing you) when you want him to , but He's right on time. That's one thing that I learned in prayer class in my church is that when you really want God to move, pray scripture 'promises' back to Him and it really gets His attention. I was even in church to do and gave God a sales pitch. I said, "Now God if you go ahead and deliver me from this lust addiction (the 800/900 numbers, print porn, video porn, internet, etc. you know I've proven myself in other areas as I have been quick to tell my testimony when you brought me to the other side. Now Lord the preacher said in Luke, 19, the reason the parable that Jesus told, the Master gave the one 'mina' the third slave had who hid it in a cloth (handkerchief) to the one who had earned ten is that the Master wants a maximum return on His investment. That said Lord, why not go ahead and deliver me so that like (Mr. Franklin) I can be about Kingdom work in that area and you can go about your heavenly business attending to other things with full assurance that all the pain (not pleasure) that this addiction has wrought in my life will be a constant reminder that either I tell my testimony or I'll likely be doomed to repeat. Greetings, Brother Franklin in the name of Jesus and much love to you in the Holy Ghost. My comments weren't for this article, but it was very important that I send you these comments. I used to think that you had went to far with your music, having beats that I thought were worldly, but that was before I grew some and Jesus began to open my eyes. Now I realize that all of the music belongs to God and we can use any beat that we want and I want you to know that I am behind you 100% and I realize what it means to exercise the authority of God. The problem is that there are so many in the body of Christ, that think that once we get filled with the Holy Ghost all were suppose to do is go to bible study,Sunday school and Church services. Jesus said for us to go into all the world and preach this gospel to every creature and the only way we can do that is by telling people about him everywhere we go. I have walked the streets and witnessed to many people who many in the Church wouldn't even talk to, I fully want you to know that I dont think that I'm any better than anybody else, but I have made the choice to do what God said in his word. Kirk there is one thing that I have to address with you and that is when you are dancing and you pump the middle of your body, the guy who cuts my hair was talking to me about it and he was very bothered by it,he's not saved,he didn't have any problem with any of your other dance moves,just that. Kirk I'm asking you in love to please stop doing that move. I want you to know that I love you very much and that is why I'm saying something to you,most saints wouldn't say anything to you,but would talk about what your doing,but God has caused me to be very bold in him and say things to people that most saints wont say, so that is why I'm saying something. God has been giving me songs with scriptures from the bible and beats from songs that rappers and R&B singers have been using and I believe you are the one who he wants me to hook up with,because you are one of the few radicals that's bold enough to help me. The world is in turmoil and the and we need to come forth and stand up against all this sin that's going on in the land,just like Jesus did.
