Your ministry has been a blessing as well as an encouragement to me and of course many others around the globe. You are an example of one who can reach people of different ethnic groups without compromising the gospel. In your last few projects,, man, I can hear and-feel the closeness that you've developed with the Father....I'm telling you man, you can sense it. I know it is aweful what has happened in Haiti, but I am writing about my son Nathaniel. He is a seventeen year old that used to follow jesus and praise him every day. Everything slipped away from his life when he became thirteen and started living a live of gangs. Most of the reason he went to that life was because of me. You see I was an alcoholic, and he looked to them as family. He ended up having a child of his own and wanted to give that child everything that he felt he was denied. The baby died at three months from sids. He blamed himself and got into a world of trouble with drugs and alcohol. He is now in a juvenile facility and facing felony charges of robbery and he feels like there is no hope that god wouldn't even take him back. He used to love hearing Kirk and wished he could get on his choir. Nate has such a wonderful god given voice. He was turning it into the wrong type of rap and making a lot of gigs on it. Most of the underground clubs were asking for him and his crew. Nate is feeling really low with the loss of his son. He blames himself for the life he got into and that god is blaming him and punishing him, no matter how much I try I to tell him that god just took the baby home. He feels no hope and I don't don't know what to do for him. He looks so lost. He can't even hold his head up. It breaks my heart up so bad, and I am so worried for him. He punishes himself so much. I keep thinking if he hears some songs of encouragement or words it will help him get through the hard waters. It is just me going to see him every day and I feel I am getting weak. I pray that the lord will help me and give me help. I am am so very tired. I want him to have faith again and trust the lord will take care of his heart, but it is so broken and I am afraid he will hurt himself. So I will lose my grandson and my son. Please help.

I am new to you. I have not heard you preach. I have however heard your songs and the one "Lean On Me" moves me to tears. I have gone to church and have not found what I am looking for. I have been rejected by churches for not leading a christian life style. I studied with christians only to find that I was being judged by them as well. I hope I will be welcomed here. A vampire bat came flapping in from the night covered in fresh blood and parked himself on the roof of the cave to get some sleep.

Pretty soon all the other bats smelled the blood and began hassling him about where he got it.

He told them to go away and let him get some sleep but they persisted until finally he gave in.

"OK, follow me" he said and flew out of the cave with hundreds of bats behind him.

What advise can you give me, being that I play the keyboard and piano for the church I attend. My family and I have been attack severely by the enemy. My pastor did warn me being in the music ministry that we would be on the hit list of the enemy, but I guess I wasn't prepared for it.... Do I sit down with the pastor and the elders of the church and maybe sit down from playing while my family and I sort some things out??????
