Let me begin by expressing my frustration with doing business with
African American businesses. Why is it that when you want to do
business with your people, they find a way to abuse you or mistreat you, or outright cheat you.
Our situation:
Our church purchased (or so we thought) a website a year ago from a
company called MOUNT UP PRODUCTIONS, in Grand Prairie (DALLAS COUNTY)
we asked the company to build us a website. The pastor designed the
website in detail. The website is copyrighted to the church. And after 14 months and paying $1092, the company owner,
EVERETT HINSON, JR., is saying that he told us that he would not turnover the website at anytime.
We did not ask him to LEASE the church a website, but to BUILD the church a website. A Church website has NO value to anyone but the kingdom of God. You don't buy a car and pay it off and the lender keeps your title. You don't buy a home pay it off and the bank keeps your deed.
The pastor extended to the owner an opportunity to meet and discuss the matter in Christian love to come to some sort of agreement. This
plea was rejected. The owner claims to be a preacher, and is also a P.K.
We have prayed, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, FTC, and the FCC. We are no trying to decide should we pursue further legal action. We have everything we need to prove our case. We have talked with an attorney who is a friend of our pastor.
As a church we are disappointed in this experience. I think that we all agree that life is not fair, but when within the body of Christ, there is fraud, lying, and cheating, not to mention black on black, it is embarassing, hurtful, and destructive. What does it say about a person that would deceive a church? If a company will treat a church this way, how will they treat you?
At this point, what should we do?
We would like to hear from the body at large. Your questions and comments are welcomed.

P.S. - Christian Black people, be fair and right with one another, and the church. Love does not cheat, steal, defraud, lie, rob, destroy or kill. We have got to do better!

I just read your post and I feel your frustration and sadness I am so sorry that this has happened to your church. I will pray and have my churche's prayer team pray for the Lord to resolve this situation. Please leave it with the Lord He will sort it out do not turn to the world to sort it out the ,bible is very clear about using secular courts to resolve Christian disputes(1Cor 6:1-8). Remember we are in last days and many will come and claim to be Christians but are actually wolves in sheeps clothing(Mat 7:15). I am just an Aussie girl so I dont know about Christian African Americans being unfair to each other but Im here to tell you it happens all over the world, satan doesnt care what colour you are he just wants to cause division within the body of Christ. Jesus pulled down the walls of racism sexism and any other "ism"2000 years ago and it is man in his sinful and disobedient state that keeps this insidious hatred, spurned on by satan, going. Brothers and Sisters in Christ we have to rise up (Revolution, NuNation cd by Kirk and the Family)(Col 3:1-18) and if we have a problem with a Christian brother or sister go to them, leave your sacrifice at the temple go and sort it out then come back to the temple and offer your sacrifie(Mat 5:23). You have done the right thing by going to him in love. The Lord will bless you for this. It is time to forgive this person and hand him over to the Lord, you watch in amazment what our Precious Jesus will do on your behalf. I look forward to hearing your testimony about Gods love and mercy. Please know there are Brothers and Sisters all over the world praying for your church and we love you.
