Last fall I lost my mother to lung cancer. I'm having a rather difficult time dealing with the loss. I sang Kirk Franklin's "Mama's Song" for her homegoing.

I felt the lyrics were so right on, but I when I get to the last verse that says "...But mama is not here now
and I'm standing by myself, but as long as I've got Jesus, I don't need nobody else", I'm having kind of a hard time understanding what Mr. Franklin means by that. Can someone please help me?
