I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...

I respect and admire the "stance" that he makes for Christ as well as the ministry which the Lord has put within Kirk Franklin which is not just his public performance ministry but how he conducts himself privately.

I was one of the receptionist at "Church of the Harvest" where Bishop C. McClendon was the pastor and I remember Bro. Kirk coming to the first conference. While one of the elders was "encouraging" everyone to give so they could get that "car, home, financial blessing", he got up and in tears stated..."when will we give JUST because we love God"...whew...blew people away! I stood up with a hearty AMEN!!!

Then I used to work for Gospocentric, and Devin would tell me how Bro. Kirk was so humble and would not allow people to "celebrate" him which is rare in the "entertainment" field even among Christian entertainers. He is not allowing his "gift" to take him away from the Lord however it appears that the opposite is in effect.

I love his transparency, [these are the only people the Lord is truly using today], as well as the way he is with his wife, and his children and believe he is an excellent role for youth today...in and outside the church.

I am old enough to be his mother, and I love him like one of my sons. I correct people who attempt to put him down because they do not realize he IS operating in the will of God for HIS life..."please God rather than man", son...smile!!!

He is a blessing and I will continue to "pray his strength in the Lord", and for his family.
